Ravens Trading TE Hayden Hurst To Falcons

Adam Schefter reports that the Ravens are trading TE Hayden Hurst to the Falcons on Monday.

Here’s are the full trade details:

Falcons get:

  • TE Hayden Hurst
  • 2020 4th-rd pick

Ravens get

  • 2020 2nd-rd pick
  • 2020 5th-rd pick

Reports had said that Hurst was a trade candidate to watch this offseason and it looks like the Falcons stepped up to get a replacement for Austin Hooper, who is reportedly signing with the Browns.

Hurst, 26, was taken with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Ravens. According to OverTheCap.com, he received a four-year, $11,036,032 contract that includes a $6,106,204 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Ravens to pick up in 2021.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Hurst will free up $2.75 million of available cap space while creating $2.5 million in dead money.

In 2019, Hurst appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and caught 30 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 14 tight end out of 67 qualifying players.
