Broncos Release Veteran LB Todd Davis

Mike Klis of 9 News reports that the Broncos are releasing veteran ILB Todd Davis on Friday.

Todd Davis

Davis, 28, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2014. He lasted less than a year in New Orleans before he was waived during the season and later claimed off of waivers by the Broncos.

The Broncos brought Davis back on a one-year, $2.746 million restricted contract for the 2016 season before signing him to a three-year, $15 million contract that includes $6 million guaranteed in 2018.

This move will create $4.5 million of salary cap space while resulting in $1.5 million dead money.

In 2019, Davis appeared in 14 games for the Broncos and recorded 134 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and one pass defense.
