Browns Place DE Armonty Bryant On Season-Ending I.R.

The Browns announced Tuesday that they have placed DE Armonty Bryant on season-ending injured reserve and replaced him with Sione Fua.

  • Cleveland also released WR Lee Doss from their practice squad.

Reports on Monday mentioned that Bryant was diagnosed with a torn ACL and a partial tear of his MCL, and was going to miss the remainder of the 2014 season.

Bryant, 24, is his second year in the NFL and has a reasonable base salary of $495,000 for the 2014 season. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 43 defensive end in a 3-4 system out of 52 qualifying players.

If this ends up being the of his 2014 season, Bryant will finish the year with 11 tackles and a sack over the course of five games.
