Browns Place WR Jordan Leslie On IR After Clearing Waivers

The Cleveland Browns officially placed WR Jordan Leslie on injured reserve Thursday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Leslie, 25, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in 2015. He was among the Vikings’ roster cuts coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Jaguars’ practice squad during the season.

The Falcons elected to sign Leslie to a future/reserve contract last year but he was once again among the final roster cuts. Leslie had a brief stint with the Titans before joining the Browns’ practice squad in October and returning to the team on a future/reserve contract this past January.

Unfortunately, the Browns cut him loose coming out of the preseason. He was later added to their practice squad before being called up a few weeks ago. Cleveland waived him with an injury designation on Thursday.

In 2017, Leslie has appeared in two games for the Browns and caught one pass for 26 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
