Browns Waive OT Michael Bowie After Reinstating Him From Reserve/Retired List

The Cleveland Browns officially reinstated OT Michael Bowie from the reserve/retired list on Friday and then placed him on waivers.

It appears as though Bowie has decided to come out of retirement and pursue another opportunity with an NFL team.

Bowie, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Seahawks out of Northeastern State back in 2013. He spent one year in Seattle before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Cleveland placed Bowie on the reserve/retired list back in early August.

Bowie still has one year remaining on his four-year, $2.206 million rookie contract.

In 2013, Bowie appeared in nine games and played a total of 539 snaps, grading out as a solid run-blocker.
