Browns Waiving LS Christian Yount

Adam Caplan of ESPN, citing a league source, reports that the Browns are expected to waive LS Christian Yount on Friday.

Cleveland has made a number of roster moves regarding their offensive line this week including waiving OL Nick McDonald and signing OL Eric Olsen to a contract.

Yount, 26, has three years remaining on his five-year, $4.21 million rookie contract. He stands to make base salaries of $820,000 (2015), $835,000 (2016), and $855,000 (2017) over the remainder of the agreement.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Yount will free up $820,000 in available cap space while creating in dead money.

In 2014, Young appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded four tackles on special teams.
