Sims, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.104 million contract and set to make a base salary of $650,000 this season.

The Buccaneers placed Sims on injured reserve earlier in the year before designating him as their player to return a few weeks ago and recently activating him.

In 2016, Sims has appeared in seven games for the Buccaneers and ran for 149 yards on 51 carries (2.9 YPC) to go along with 24 receptions for 190 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
