Buccaneers Placing S Justin Evans & TE Alan Cross On IR, Promote TE Donnie Ernsberger

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are placing S Justin Evans and TE Alan Cross on injured reserve Tuesday, according to Rick Stroud.

• The Buccaneers also promoted TE Donnie Ernsberger to their active roster.

Evans, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $5.19 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $937,662 and $1.17 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Evans appeared in 10 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 59 tackles, one interception, a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown and two pass defenses.
