Buccaneers Promote Rookie TE Alan Cross To Active Roster

According to Greg Aman, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have promoted rookie TE Alan Cross from their practice squad on Friday following the news that the team has waived TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins after his DUI this morning.

Cross, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis back in May. He was unfortunately waived a week into the regular season.

The Buccaneers would later sign him to their practice squad.

During his college career, Cross caught 90 passes for 1,050 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns over the course of 42 games.
