The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Friday that they have signed WRÂ Louis Murphy to a three-year contract extension.
Murphy, 27, was in the final year of his contract and would have been an unrestricted free agent in March.
In his first year with the Buccaneers, Murphy appeared in 11 games and caught 31 passes for 380 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 106 receiver out of 113 qualifying players.
His season was cut short after he suffered an ankle injury that forced the Bucs to place him on season-ending injured reserve.
