Latest:

  • According to Jay Glazer, there’s no truth to the report that Cardinals were interested in hiring Mike McCarthy and giving him total control of the team. In fact, Glazer says that Arizona isn’t willing to give McCarthy or any head coach control over personnel decisions.
  • Rob Demovsky explains that the Cardinals aren’t viewed as a great fit for Mike McCarthy because he and his wife have two high-school boys that they intend to have finish their schooling in Green Bay.
  • Jim Trotter reports that the Cardinals have “strong interest” in Mike McCarthy, but it’s unlikely the two parties are a match. Trotter says that McCarthy has family considerations that are likely to keep him closer to Green Bay.
