Cardinals Hire Former Steelers RBs Coach James Saxon

Aditi Kinkhabwala reports that the Cardinals have hired former Steelers RBs coach James Saxon as the team’s new RBs coach under Kliff Kingsbury.

Saxon had done a great job working with Le’Veon Bell, James Conner and Jaylen Samuels the past few years and should be a big help for David Johnson and Chase Edmonds moving forward.

Saxon, 52, played six years in the NFL for the Chiefs, Dolphins and Eagles. He got into coaching in 1997 as the RBs coach at Rutgers.

Saxon took his first NFL coaching job in 2000 as the Bills RBs coach and worked for the Chiefs, Dolphins and Vikings before he was hired by the Steelers in 2014.
