Cardinals In Need Of WR Help?

We got the news yesterday that Arizona Cardinals wide-receiver Early Doucet will have to undergo surgery for a sports hernia that he suffered during Sundays game against the Rams. The surgery will cost him anywhere from three to six weeks.

The problem for the Cardinals is that they were counting on Doucet stepping up and filling Anquan Boldin‘ s shoes who they traded to the Baltimore Ravens during the offseason. Larry Fitzgerald has also been battling through a knee injury that he suffered early into the preseason. During last Sunday’s game, Fitzgerald wore a knee brace throughout the game and seemed to be limited at times but was able to catch the winning touchdown. Beanie Wells also sat out Sunday’s game with a bruised knee.

The Cardinals have already gotten a big game out of Steve Breaston and will know look to undrafted rookie Stephen Williams to be the teams No. 3 wide-receiver against the Falcons. If the Cardinals are dealt another injury to one of their wide-receivers the teams offense could be in full-fledged panic mode.
