Cardinals Interested In Texas State HC Jake Spavital For OC Job

Bruce Feldman is reporting that Cardinals new HC Kliff Kingsbury is interested in hiring Texas State HC Jake Spavital as his offensive coordinator.

Feldman notes that Kingsbury and Spavital worked together while they were at Houston.

Spavital, 33, began his coaching career as an offensive quality control assistant at Tulsa back in 2008. He later worked as a graduate assistant at Houston and Oklahoma State before he was hired as the QBs coach at West Virginia for the 2011 season.

Since then, Spavital has worked as an offensive coordinator/QBs coach for Texans A&M, California and West Virginia. Texas State just hired Spavital as their head coach in November.

We’ll have more regarding the Cardinals as the news is available.
