Cardinals Promote WR Marquis Bundy To Active Roster, Cut WR Chris Hubert

The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they’ve promoted WR Marquis Bundy to their active roster and placed WR Chris Hubert on waivers.

Hubert, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Fayetteville State back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later added to the team’s practice squad at the start of the season.

Arizona brought Hubert back after he was waived from the practice a few weeks into the season and later promoted him to their active roster a month ago.

During the preseason Hubert appeared in all four games and caught five passes for 86 yards receiving and one touchdown for the Cardinals.

Bundy, 22, signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico. He was among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but was signed to Arizona’s practice squad after clearing waivers.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
