Cardinals Sign RB Jonathan Dwyer, OL Ted Larsen & Re-Sign LB Marcus Benard

Arizona Cardinals announced that they have signed RB Jonathan Dwyer, OL Ted Larsen, and re-sign LB Marcus Benard.

The Cardinals another former Steelers running back to their roster in as many years.

Dwyer, 24, is really an interesting addition for the Cardinals. HC Bruce Arians is obviously familiar with him given that he was in Pittsburgh a few years ago. The Steelers cut Dywer before the start of the 2014 season only to bring him back a month later following an injury to LaRod Stephens-Howling.

In 2013, he appeared in 15 games and totaled 197 yards rushing on 49 carries (4.0 YPC) and contributed eight receptions for 64 yard receiving. Pro Football Focus actually gave him a positive rating last year.

Larsen, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots, but lasted just a few months before the team waived him. He was claimed by Buccaneers and spent the last four season in Tampa Bay. He played just 35 snaps last year.

Benard, 28, spent the first three years of his career with the Browns, but signed with the Cardinals back in October of last year. He appeared in 12 games last year and totaled 17 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
