Cardinals Signing LS Justin Drescher

Josh Katzenstein reports that the Cardinals are signing long snapper Justin Drescher to a contract following his tryout for the team on Monday.

Arizona reportedly also worked out Andrew East, Jeff Overbought, and Colin Holba today.

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians announced that they’re placing LS Aaron Brewer (wrist) on injured reserve after he undergoes surgery on Tuesday, per Mike Jurecki.

Drescher, 29, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in 2010. he lasted just a few months in Atlanta before he was waived and later signed by the Saints.

Drescher has played seven years for the Saints and returned to the team back in August, but was released with an injury settlement a few weeks later.

In 2016, Drescher appeared in all 16 games for the Saints.
