Carolina Panthers Looking To Trade Down?

The Charlotte Observer says that the Carolina Panthers will “explore opportunities” to trade down from their ninth overall pick in the Draft.

Joseph Person reports the Panthers would like to pick up a third-round pick after trading theirs away to the Chicago Bears last year for tight end Greg Olsen.

A potential trade partner for Carolina could be the New York Jets, considering that they’ve already shown plenty of interest in South Carolina LB Melvin Ingram, whom they hosted last Tuesday. They currently sit at #16 in the first round, and if they stay there, Ingram will most likely be gone by the time they’re on the clock. If they were to trade up to #9, they would be in a very good position to draft him.
