Chargers Re-Sign ERFA DB Adrian Phillips

The Los Angeles Chargers officially re-signed exclusive rights free agent DB Adrian Phillips on Wednesday.

Phillips, 24, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of 2014. He’s been on and off of the Chargers’ practice squad several times since entering the league.

Phillips is in line to be a restricted free agent next year if he’s active enough to accrue a third season.

In 2016, Phillips appeared in 14 games for the Chargers and recorded 38 tackles, one interception, and three pass defenses. ProFootballFocus rated him as the No. 79 overall safety out of 89 qualifying players.
