Chargers Sign First-Round LB Kenneth Murray

The Los Angeles Chargers have officially signed first-round LB Kenneth Murray to his rookie contract, according to Ian Rapoport

The Chargers have now signed three of their draft picks:

Murray, 21, is a three-year starter at Oklahoma and earned second-team All-American honors last season. The Chargers traded up with the Patriots to select him with the No. 23 overall pick in this year’s draft. 

Murray is projected to sign a four-year, $12,974,941 rookie contract that includes a $6,996,321 signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year for the Chargers to pick up for the 2024 season.

During his college career at Oklahoma, Murray recorded 325 tackles, 9.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries, and six passes defended over the course of three seasons and 40 games.
