Chargers Sign TE Vince Mayle & RB Detrez Newsome To PS

The Los Angeles Chargers announced that they have signed TE Vince Mayle and RB Detrez Newsom to their practice squad.

The Chargers’ practice squad now consists of

1. DE Patrick Afriyie
2. WR Dylan Cantrell
3. S A.J. Hendy
4. WR Andre Patton
5. DL Steven Richardson
6. TE Thomas Duarte
7. QB Cardale Jones
8. G Spencer Drango
9. TE Vince Mayle
10. RB Detrez Newsom

Mayle, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. However, he was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Cowboys’ practice squad.

Mayle was on and off of the Cowboys’ active roster before he was waived towards the end of the 2016 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Ravens. He re-signed with Baltimore to a one-year exclusive rights contract but was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
