Chiefs Sign Third-Round RB Kareem Hunt

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed third-round RB Kareem Hunt to a four-year rookie contract, according to his agency.

 

Hunt, 21, was selected with the No. 86 overall pick by the Chiefs after they elected to trade up with the Vikings to draft him. In total, the Chiefs gave up a third-, fourth-, and seventh-round picks in this year’s draft for the right to select Hunt.

According to OverTheCap.com, Hunt will receive a four-year contract worth $3,175,952, which includes a signing bonus of $775,952.

During his four-year college career at Toledo, Hunt recorded 782 rushing attempts for 4,945 rushing yards (6.3 yPC) for 44 touchdowns, while also having 73 receptions for 555 yards receiving (7.6 YPC) and one touchdown.
