Chiefs Waive G Rokevious Watkins, Claim TE Adam Schiltz From Titans

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have waived G Rokevious Watkins and claimed TE Adam Schiltz off of waivers from the Titans.

Watkins release comes just a few weeks after he was suspended for the first four games of the 2014 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Watkins, 25, still had two years remaining on his three-year, $1.485 million contract. In 2013, he appeared in four games, but was limited to playing just 88 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Chiefs will free up $485,000 in available cap space following this move, according to OverTheCap.com.
