Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill In Attendance For Start Of Offseason Workouts

Adam Schefter reports that Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill will be in attendance at the start of the Chiefs’ offseason workout program on Monday.

Police are still investigating two incidents of suspected child abuse at Hill’s home last month. It’s worth mentioning that Hill has not been charged.

  • Jay Glazer of the Athletic heard some rumblings at the start of free agency that Hill was being discussed in trade talks, but he figured it was related to his contract situation at the time.
  • Glazer believes the matter regarding multiple incidents at Hill’s home will take some time to be fully resolved.
  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media previously reported that the Chiefs have begun negotiations with Hill on what will end up being a record-setting deal when complete.

Hill, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $2.58 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,965,036 for the 2019 season.

In 2018, Hill appeared in 16 games for the Chiefs and caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns to go along with 151 yards rushing and a touchdown. Hill also totaled 213 punt returns and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 7 receiver out of 117 qualifying players.

We’ll have more Hill regarding as the news is available.
