Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill’s Foot Injury Is “Nothing Serious”, Considered Day To Day

Update:

Adam Schefter reports that further examination of the foot injury sustained by Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill showed “nothing serious” and he is now considered “day to day.”

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill tells Peter King of Football Morning in America that the foot injury he’s been dealing with is “bad.”

My foot’s bad …Our people did a tremendous job wrapping my foot,” Hill said. “I was still feeling my heel, but at the same time, I knew that man, if you want the W, if you want to be a great receiver, this is your moment to make plays.

Despite spending time in the locker room, Hill was able to return and catch a pass for 48 yards that set up a field goal attempt to tie the game.

Hill’s foot injury is worth watching in the coming days, seeing as Kansas City is on a short week and plays the Chargers on Thursday.

Hill, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.58 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Hill has appeared in 13 games for the Chiefs and caught 74 passes for 1,258 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 124 yards and totaled 210 punt returns and one touchdown.

We’ll have more regarding Hill as the news is available.
