Colts Cut 5 Players Including QB Stephen Morris

The Indianapolis Colts announced Sunday that they’ve cut five players including OT Zach Banner, S Ronald Martin, QB Stephen Morris, OL Brian Schwenke and TE Brandon Williams.

Morris, 25, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as a priority undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to the  Jaguars’ practice squad.

The Eagles would later claim him off of waivers after he was once again unable to make the cut coming out of the preseason. After spending much of the year on the practice squad, the Colts later added him to their active roster towards the end of the year.

Indianapolis later waived Morris to make room for CB Rashaan Melvin but re-signed him to their practice squad just a day later. The Colts brought Morris back on a future/reserve contract this past January.

Morris has yet to appear in an NFL game.
