The Indianapolis Colts announced the signing of S David Sims Monday morning.
Sims last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012 where he recorded eight solo tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defensed over the course of 15 games. Philadelphia ultimately waived Sims before the start of the season.
Sims was an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State and later signed with the Giants during the summer of 2011. He was named Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year in 2009 and totaled 188 tackles and six interceptions in 24 career games during his college career.
