Colts Waive WRs Andrew Opoku & Marcus Leak, Sign WR Justin Berger

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday evening that they’ve signed rookie WR Justin Berger and placed receivers Marcus Leak and Andrew Opoku on waivers.

Opoku, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Delaware back in May of last year. He took part in the Ravens’ 2015 rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, but was not signed to a contract.

The Colts signed him to a contract just a few weeks ago.

During his college career, Opoku appeared in 33 games at wide receiver and linebacker and totaled four receptions for 65 yards and one touchdown, 19 tackles (12 solo) and two fumble recoveries.

Berger went undrafted out of Wyoming back in May. This will be first opportunity with an NFL game.

During his college career at Wyoming, Berger caught seven passes for 90 yards receiving and one touchdown to along with a single carry for eight yards and a touchdown.
