Cowboys Signing Former First-Round G Jonathan Cooper

Clarence Hill is reporting that the Cowboys have agreed to terms with G Jonathan Cooper following his workout on Tuesday.

Dallas will now need to make a roster move to free up a spot on their active roster for Cooper.

Cooper, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. The Cardinals traded him to the Patriots as part of the Chandler Jones trade. Although, New England declined to pick up Cooper’s fifth-year option back in May and later cut him loose a few months ago.

The Browns later claimed him off of waivers from New England before cutting him loose a few weeks ago.

In 2016, Cooper appeared in six games for the Browns and Patriots.
