Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com writes that CB Jonte Green, drafted in the sixth round from New Mexico State, will be one of the players competing for a starting job opposite Chris Houston.
“We liked his combination of size and speed and aggressiveness. He’s an aggressive tackler.”, said Lions head coach Jim Schwartz.
Green will be competing against fellow draftees Bill Bentley from Louisiana-Lafayette (third round) and Chris Greenwood of Albion (fifth round), as well as veterans Jacob Lacy, Aaron Berry, and Alphonso Smith.
