Dolphins Cut Four Players

The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve waived S Jeremiah Dinson, DE Avery Moss and CB Deatrick Nichols on Tuesday. The Dolphins have also released WRs Ricardo Louis.

Nichols, 25, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later waived in October.

Nichols was on and off of the Cardinals’ roster before agreeing to a deal with the Houston Roughnecks for the 2020 season. He was signed by the Saints after the league closed but was cut before the start of the season.

The Dolphins signed him to a contract a few weeks ago.

During his one season with the Roughriders, Nichols recorded 24 tackles, one sack and three interceptions.
