ESPN analyst Bill Polian suggests that the Miami Dolphins should trade for the Minnesota Vikings #3 overall pick in the upcoming draft and select QB Ryan Tannehill.
Polian points to the fact that the Vikings have made it clear that they’re open to trading out of the #3 spot, and believes that the Dolphins would be “gambling” on Tannehill being available to them at #8 overall. Polian mentions that Miami could end up losing him to the Browns or Chiefs, should they choose to stay where they currently are.
Previous reports have mentioned that the Vikings may not be willing to move out of the top-six picks, but Polian writes that such a more would be worth it if Minnesota is ok with grabbing Iowa OT Riley Reiff instead of USC OT Matt Kalil.
The Dolphins appear to be lukewarm on the idea of drafting Tannehill, who comes with plenty of risk, considering the limited amount of time that he’s played the position.
