Eagles Place OL Allen Barbre & LB Najee Goode On Season-Ending I.R.

Update:

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that they have placed OL Allen Barbre and LB Najee Goode on season-ending injured reserve.

  • Adam Caplan of ESPN reported earlier this morning that Barbre is expected to undergo surgery on his high ankle sprain, which could cost him the remainder of the 2014 season.

This puts the Eagles in a tough position seeing as Lane Johnson is currently in the process of serving a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s PED policy.

Barbre, 30, signed a four-year, $5.23 million contract with the Eagles back in early June and is slated to make $730,000 for the 2014 season. Last year, he appeared in 15 games for the Eagles, but was limited to playing just 89 snaps.

Goode, 23, was claimed off waivers from the Buccaneers back in September of last year. He would go on to appear in 14 games and record 20 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 2013.
