Eagles OLB Travis Long Out For Season With Torn ACL

Ian Rapoport and James Palmer of NFL Media are reporting that Eagles OLB Travis Long is out for the season after he sustained a torn ACL on Monday.

  • Rapoport adds that this happens to be the same knee that Long needed surgery on previously.
  • According to Rapoport, Long was set to be a part of the Eagles’ three-man rotation at outside linebacker this season.

Long, 24, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State back in 2013. He was unfortunately unable to make the team coming out of the preseason, but he was later added to their practice squad.

Philadelphia elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January.

Long has yet to appear in an NFL game.
