Eagles Promote CB Josh Hawkins To Active Roster

The Philadelphia Eagles officially promoted CB Josh Hawkins to their active roster on Wednesday.

Hawkins, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first two seasons in Green Bay, but was among their final roster cuts this preseason.

After a brief stint on the Panthers’ practice squad, Hawkins signed on to the Chiefs’ taxi squad last month and had been on and off of the unit before catching on with the Eagles a few weeks ago.

In 2018, Hawkins appeared in five games for the Panthers, but has yet to record a statistic.
