Eagles Sign CB Craig James To One-Year Extension

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Eagles have signed CB Craig James to a one-year extension worth up to $1.52 million. The agreement includes $300,000 guaranteed.

James, 24, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois back in 2018. He was waived with an injury designation during final roster cuts with an injury designation.

Minnesota cut him with an injury settlement before re-signing him to their practice squad in and eventually calling him up later on in the season. He was among the Vikings’ final roster cuts last year but signed with the Eagles’ practice squad a few days later. 

In 2019, James appeared in 14 games for the Eagles and recorded 13 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
