Falcons, Jets, Saints & Packers Teams Reportedly Considering Trades Up In Round 1

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Falcons, Jets, Saints and Packers are among the teams to watch in terms of possibly trading up in round one.

Regarding the Jets, Rapoport says it would presumably be for an offensive tackle. Connor Hughes confirms that the Jets have had talks with teams about trades up for offensive tackles, as they’re worried the top-four prospect could be gone before No. 11.

The Falcons have reportedly been aggressive in exploring trades up the board from No. 16, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

The Saints are one of the more interesting teams this year, considering that they have a deep roster and could go in a number of directions including taking a quarterback. Others have said linebacker and possibly a running back could be worth watching for New Orleans.

Dianna Russini reported earlier that the Saints “have called every team above them in this draft to explore options” and there are a few players they have their eyes on.

It’s hard to say what Green Bay will do at the end of round one. A recent report mentioned that they’re a potential landing spot for TE Cole Kmet should they stick at No. 30. However, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst made it clear earlier in the week that they plan to consider moving around to get their targets.

We’ll have more regarding potential draft trades involving these teams as the news is available.
