Falcons Plan To Evaluate RB Michael Turner

Falcons head coach Mike Smith mentioned they will have to monitor the amount touches RB Michael Turner gets next season, per Gregg Rosenthal.

Turner had been dealing with a groin injury throughout the season which may have something to do with his up and down production but Smith emphasized that they’ll have to get better at running the ball next season.

Turner will be 30 at the start of the 2012 season and is set to make $5 million so they’ll have to decide whether or not he can be an every-down back in the coming seasons. If not they may have to find someone who can compliment him for the time being.
