ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Atlanta Falcons have reached an agreement with S William Moore on a five-year contract extension.
D. Orlando Ledbetter reports that Moore will receive $30 million and $14 million in guaranteed cash.
Atlanta made it clear that retaining their own free agents was their top priority after they released players like John Abraham, Dunta Robinson and Michael Turner to free up extra cap space.
Moore, 27, is coming off of a very solid season for the Falcons’ defense. He was expected to be targeting a contract worth $25-30 million, which obviously fits with what he received.
We have him listed as the No. 21 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
