Falcons Targeting Steve Spagnuolo?

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the Atlanta Falcons would “love” to hire former Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo to take over as their defensive coordinator.

Their previous DC Brian VanGorder recently left for a job with Auburn so they’re currently looking to fill that hole. Others options for the Falcons may include  Jack Del Rio, Mike Nolan, and possibly Raheem Morris who has drawn plenty of interest so far. Spagnuolo is a hot commodity right now as he’s been widely praised as one of the leagues best defensive minds and even his struggles in St Louis haven’t tempered teams interest.

Atlanta is going through some sizable changes in recent days as they’ll have a new offensive and defensive coordinators come next season.
