Falcons Unveil New Uniforms

The Atlanta Falcons officially released what their new uniforms will look like for the 2020 season.

While the uniforms were originally scheduled to be revealed next week, Adam Schefter says the launch was moved up after pictures of the new uniforms leaked on Tuesday.

“We took a fan-first approach in gathering feedback and design input and have modernized the look of our team and our brand,” said Falcons President Rich McKay. “Black has been a part of our organization since we took the field in 1966 so we’ve stayed true to our roots and have given our fans and players what they’ve been asking for over many years.”

“This process has been a true reflection of Arthur Blank’s core values โ€” listening and responding to our fans,” said Morgan Shaw Parker, the Falcons chief marketing officer. “The city has evolved, our stadium has evolved and we knew it was time to do the same with our brand.”

Falcons owner Arthur Blank also penned a letter to fans along with the launch:

Dear Atlanta,

Whether you’re new here or from here, we all have one thing in common โ€” we are passionate dreamers. Together we’ve all contributed through passion and imagination in building this city into what it is today, a thriving metropolis. Atlanta sets the standard for hope, resilience, optimism and togetherness. Something others strive to emulate, and values I’m continually proud to represent.

Atlanta thrives because of her people and whether we’re together physically or virtually, sport will continue to be a unifier. The Falcons have a proud tradition of bringing people and communities together from all walks of life with a shared passion for winning football and the intense desire to see a championship caliber team both on and off the field. Football will be back and when it is, I can promise our Falcons will be stronger than ever, for you, our loyal fans, and for our city.

We have weathered many storms throughout history and although the immediate future may feel uncertain, I’m confident that we will get through this pandemic together and am humbled by the bravery and heroism of our first responders and healthcare workers.

As you know, part of our promise as an organization is to listen and respond. It’s at the very core of who we are. Time and again, we’ve heard you ask for new uniforms over the years, and in the spirit of our core values, we’ve listened to you and responded with what I know will be an exciting new era of Falcons football. We’ve stayed true to our roots by keeping our colors and the Falcon bird intact โ€” making it even more prominent than ever before, but delivering a more modern design that reflects our team, our fans and this great city.

Black has been a part of our history since 1966 and both our fans and players have asked us to bring it back. The “ATL” moniker is known around the world and we now wear it proudly as a badge of our unity, diversity and togetherness. Something our world needs more of, especially in these tough times.

We’ve gone to great lengths to listen and deliver what you’ve requested. I’m honored to call Atlanta my home and humbled to represent all of you. As we have before, we will rise up and emerge stronger than ever and I look forward to seeing all of you cheer on our Falcons this season. Until then, my best wishes for the health and well-being of you and all those you hold dear.

With sincere gratitude,

Arthur Blank
