Free Agent RB Andre Brown’s Eight-Game Suspension Lifted

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that free agent RB Andre Brown‘s eight-game suspension has been lifted and is free to sign with a team of his choosing.

  • The league never announced what triggered Brown’s suspension.

Brown signed a one-year, $645,000 contract with the Texans this offseason. However, he lasted until August before he was released.

Brown, 27, spent one season with the Broncos, before joining the New York Giants in 2012. Last year, he ran for 492 yards on 139 carries (3.5 YPC) and scored three touchdowns over the course of eight games.

We’ll have to see if someone brings him in for a tryout this week.
