The New York Giants announced Thursday that they’ve activated WR Sterling Shepard from injured reserve and elevated WR Alex Bachman and LB Trent Harris to their active roster for tonight’s game against the Eagles.
Both players will revert back to the team’s practice squad tomorrow without having to pass through waivers unclaimed.
Shepard was placed on injured reserve with turf toe last month before being designated to return a few days ago.
Shepard, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $5.944 million contract when he agreed to a four-year, $41 million extension that includes $21.3 million guaranteed last year.
In 2020, Shepard has appeared in two games and caught eight passes for 76 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
