Giants Release TE Kellen Davis

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Giants have released veteran TE Kellen Davis as they work to get down to 53 players.

The Giants signed Davis to a one-year contract back in April to add some much needed depth at tight end, but there hasn’t enough buzz in recent weeks regarding Davis to assume he was going to make the cut.

Davis, 28, was a fifth-round selection of the Chicago Bears back in 2008 NFL Draft. He wound up signing a one-year contract with the Seahawks last year after he spent most of the offseason with the Browns.

In 2013, he appeared in 15 games and caught 3 receptions for 32 yards receiving and a touchdown.
