Jaguars Activate CB Jalen Ramsey From PUP List

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Saturday that they’ve activated CB Jalen Ramsey from the active/PUP list.

Ramsey underwent surgery to repair a core muscle in June and was placed on the team’s PUP list a month later.

Ramsey, 22, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $23.35 million contract that includes $15.18 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $1.511 million for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Ramsey appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and recorded 65 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and 14 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
