Jaguars Fear WR Dede Westbrook Has Torn ACL

According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars believe WR Dede Westbrook may have torn his ACL in this past week’s loss to the Chargers.

Westbrook is having an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. Expect him to be placed on injured reserve shortly, as usually a torn ACL is easy to diagnose without an MRI.

Westbrook, 26, was selected in the fourth round out of Oklahoma by the Jaguars in 2017. He’s in the final year of a four-year contract worth $3,076,164, which included a signing bonus of $676,164.

Westbrook is set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.

In 2020, Westbrook has appeared in two games for the Jaguars and caught one pass for four yards.
