Jaguars Release QB Jeff Tuel From Practice Squad, Sign RB Jahwan Edwards

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they’ve released QB Jeff Tuel from their practice squad on Wednesday and added RB Jahwan Edwards to their 10-man unit.

The Jaguars’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB Jahwan Edwards
  2. LB Sean Porter
  3. OLB Quanterus Smith
  4. G Kadeem Edwards
  5. WR Rasheed Bailey
  6. WR Shaquelle Evans
  7. DB Rashaad Reynolds
  8. DL Richard Ash
  9. TE Ben Koyack
  10. OL Chris Reed
  11. LB Todd Thomas (Injured)

Tuel, 24, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State back in April of 2013. Buffalo later waived a few weeks after this year’s NFL Draft, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jaguars.

Unfortunately for Tuel, he was unable to make the team coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to their practice squad.

In 2014, Tuel threw for 309 yards while completing 44.1 percent of his passes to go along with one touchdown and three interceptions.
