Jason McCourty Contract Extension Next?

According to the Nashville Tennessean, the Titans and CB Jason McCourty have begun the process of negotiating a long-term extension.

McCourty is rumored to be looking for a deal that would pay him roughly $7 million per year. While he’s emerged as a leader in the secondary, the Titans may want to see more from McCourty before committing that kind of money to him, considering that he only has one season as a starter under his belt.

Jason McCourty is a sixth-round pick out of Rutgers in 2009, and has started nine of twenty-seven games over his first two seasons in the league and has registered 76 tackles and 2 interceptions.
