Jets HC Todd Bowles announced Wednesday that they’ve activated LB Kevin Pierre-Louis from the suspended list and waived OL Ben Braden.
Pierre-Louis, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2014. The Chiefs traded LB D.J. Alexander to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for Pierre-Louis last summer.
Pierre-Louis played out the final year of his four-year, $2.605 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent. He signed a two-year, $6 million contract that includes $2.5 million guaranteed with the Jets back in March.
In 2017, Pierre-Louis appeared in 14 games for the Chiefs and recorded 41 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and two pass defenses.
