Jets Waive WR Jonah Trinnaman From IR With Settlement

The New York Jets officially waived WR Jonah Trinnaman from injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday.

Trinnaman, 22, wound up going undrafted out of BYU following this year’s draft before signing a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cardinals. Unfortunately, the Cardinals waived him a few weeks later and he eventually signed on with the Jets soon after.

The Jets waived Trinnaman with an injury designation last month and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

During his two years at BYU, Trinnaman caught 52 passes for 626 yards receiving (12 YPC) to go along with two rushes for nine yards and one total touchdown over the course of 22 games. He also contributed 345 kick return yards on 18 attempts (19.2 YPA).
